Hodgkins Disease:  Mixed Cellularity

Description This form is usually diagnosed at more advanced stage than NS.  Classic Reed Sternberg cells are present; there is little fibrous material.  The background includes an admixture of lymphocytes, histiocytes, eosinophils, PMNs and plasma cells.  
Frequency Common in adults, with onset at greater than 50 years.  It is about twice as common in males than females.
