Myeloid Neoplasia

Errors of differention and regulation can occur at multiple points in the hematogenesis of the myeloid series.  These are divided into three areas:

Acute Myeloid Leukemia:  Accumulations of immature myeloid cells.

Myelodysplastic Syndromes:  Ineffective hematopoesis and proliferation of progenitor clones.

Myeloproliferative Disorders:  Proliferation of a somewhat differentiated myeloid line.
