Binding Mode Intercalation of acridine ring, possibly threading [Bailly, 1992 #750].  Methanesulfon-m-ansidine ring in minor groove. 
Site Specificity Initially considered to have slight A/T preference based on spectrophotometry [Wilson, 1981] and theoretical predication [Wilson, 1981], but G/C preference demonstrated by DNase footprinting [Bailly, 1992]. 
 
Effect on DNA  DNA unwinding angle of 20o [Wilson, 1981].
