Tetanus Immunoprophylaxis After Injury

Previous Immunizations Tetanus-Prone Wounds Not Tetanus Prone Wounds
? or less than 3
< 7 years of age, dT + 4 Units/kg Tetanus IgG
=> 7 years of age, DT + 250 Units Tetanus IgG
 
< 7 years of age, dT
> 7 years of age, DT
 
> 3 previous doses dT if more than 5 years since last dose dT if more than 10 years since last dose
 
 Give Tetanus IgG (TIG) at a site away from the toxoid.
